Boyfriend and I visited PV over xmas. Went to Mantamar on 12/23/23. I had been the previous year and had no problem and great times. Not this year. We got chairs on the beach and each ordered two drinks and a pizza over a two hour period from 2:30-4:30. Then we took our stuff up to the pool area. The difference this year was they held my credit card. So when we went to the bar per usual they put drinks on your tab associated to the number on your wristband. We ordered one drink at the pool bar and that is the last thing either of us remember. The next thing we knew, we were handcuffed and being taken to PV jail and held for 3 hours. Both of us were missing our gold chains and the bar charged us over $400 after checking activity (for 3 drinks each, a pizza and two beach chairs) which shouldve been no more than $200. We dont know what happened during the time we were blacked out but we were both pretty beaten and bruised up. We’re in our 40’s and both know our limits. We drank responsibly and there is no other explanation than being roofied by the bar. Neither of us do drugs. We have contacted Mantamar several times for an itemized receipt and they keep asking us for the wristband number which we gave them and also sent a picture of it on our wrists. Needless to say it ruined our vacation and we will never be going back to PV and obviously never anything owned by Mantamar. I hope this helps someone else and be warned, be careful!
