Omnis M. reported being raped at knifepoint by a drunk housekeeper in her villa during the last night of her stay at a resort on May 4, 2017. Despite escaping to the reception and pleading for help, it took hotel security nearly an hour to respond and capture the attacker. Shockingly, hotel management delayed contacting the police, only doing so after media intervention. Four months later, the same man was caught attempting another sexual assault.
