I believe my all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico is serving tainted alcohol and is running a scam with the police and a fake ambulance company. What can I do? How can I get this investigated?

Marketwizard88 shared a troubling experience that unfolded during a recent stay at GR Solaris, a resort their family has visited regularly for nearly two decades. On the first night, after a few drinks—which they noted were well within their usual tolerance—marketwizard88’s brother suddenly fell severely ill and returned to the room early. When checked on later, he was found in serious discomfort, moaning and unable to communicate clearly. A noise complaint brought hotel staff, paramedics, and even police officers to the room. Despite protests that he would sleep it off, paramedics insisted on hospitalizing him, and police threatened arrest if he didn’t comply. In a disturbing turn, marketwizard88 was arrested for objecting and had to pay a $300 bribe to be released.

After paying another $300 to the hospital for basic treatment, which a U.S. doctor later described as questionable, they returned to the hotel—only to be confronted again by hotel staff and the same police officers. They were denied reentry unless they paid an additional $700. When they asked to speak to a police superior, the paramedics abruptly left and the group was finally allowed back inside, but only if they agreed to stop drinking alcohol for the rest of their stay. Over the following days, the reviewer observed other guests becoming ill after consuming what should have been moderate amounts of alcohol, and some being kicked out of the resort under similarly strange circumstances.

Disturbed by the patterns they witnessed, marketwizard88 began researching and discovered multiple reports of tainted alcohol and possible corruption at nearby resorts under the same ownership. They expressed serious concern that if these issues go unaddressed, someone could be seriously harmed, and they are now seeking ways to formally investigate what they believe to be an ongoing and dangerous situation.
