Traveler Agusbriz described feeling extremely unsafe during a stay at a RIU resort, especially over the weekend when large groups of locals arrived and took over the property. There were illegal parties, open drug use, and outsiders bringing in alcohol, making it a chaotic and dangerous environment—especially for non-Spanish-speaking tourists. Despite complaints, hotel staff and security did nothing to stop the disruption, and even appeared to allow it, leaving guests feeling helpless and unable to sleep or relax.
