DO NOT BOOK HERE FEMALES (DRUGGED)

In January, lj travel stayed at the Riu Santa Fe Los Cabos with two friends and reported multiple cases of suspected drink spiking. All three women were drugged at different times, likely with a clear liquid date rape drug. After her friend was first affected—resulting in her phone being stolen and security attempting to pull her away from the resort—others in a large group they befriended intervened. Later, the reviewer herself blacked out for eight hours after a bartender ignored her request to use a visibly opened vodka bottle and instead used another. She described going blind and deaf immediately after leaving the pool area, with no memory of returning to her room. She also mentioned several other guests at the resort experienced similar symptoms, including blackouts, memory loss, and needing wheelchairs.

She recounted witnessing an attempted sexual assault involving another woman, where the perpetrator punched the victim in the face. Security intervened only to walk away with the man, acting as though they were friends, and took no action against him—while aggressively removing guests’ wristbands for minor issues like taking photos. The reviewer emphasized that she is usually able to handle alcohol well and has never experienced anything like this elsewhere. She warns others, especially women, that this resort appears unsafe, with frequent druggings and inadequate or even complicit security response.
