A guest’s friend was sexually assaulted by a room service employee at La Villa Del Palmar while alone in her room. Although the man was eventually fired—only after intense pressure from the group—the hotel management handled the situation terribly. Instead of showing support, they blamed the victim for drinking earlier in the day and dismissed the seriousness of what happened. The manager even implied that women shouldn’t travel alone, shifting the blame rather than taking real responsibility for what happened on their property.

The group had to fight just to get their room changed and were offered no real support or compensation. Despite the resort having the power to help, they refused and told them to get lawyers involved if they wanted a refund. The experience left the victim traumatized, and the reviewer warned others to seriously reconsider staying at a place that fails to protect its guests and treats such a serious situation with such cold indifference.
