Kiwigirl0404 describes a deeply distressing and unsafe experience at this resort. From the start, the air-conditioning in the room didn’t work, ants infested the bed, and the resort refused a refund, leaving it to a porter—not management—to help. Things worsened dramatically on the second night when a nearby guest was nearly raped at knifepoint. Management was nowhere to be found, leaving security to handle the crisis. Guests, including Kiwigirl0404, stayed awake outside in fear. When her husband demanded answers the next morning, management responded defensively, even calling the police on him, and dismissing the incident as something “normal” for the area.
The couple chose to leave early due to safety concerns, only to be denied a refund and discover several of their personal belongings had been stolen. Complaints to the reception and booking agency were ignored or met with dishonesty, and the hotel downplayed the serious incidents. The lack of phones in rooms, the dirty conditions, and a complete failure by management to prioritize guest safety led her to warn others: the service was terrible, the resort was dangerous, and the staff seemed to value broken furniture over human wellbeing.
